It all started in the 1990 playoff game between Chicago and Milwaukee, this was when Michael Jordan wore his AJ 5's with white laces. Michael ended up dropping 48 points wearing black sneakers with white laces. After this, top basketball players started wearing the whit laces as a statement, kinda like saying, "I'm bad ass, i'll kick yours.". This year, JB dropped the Air Jordan 5 'bin23' with white laces to remember Mj's 1990 playoff games. Heres some pictures of my One6One7s with white laces:
